I, and all the fellow university prof EEs I know, laugh at those who actually believe that we can go all electric without major changes to our generating capacity, the grid, battery design, charging stations, and more.......
If people buy EVs to “save the planet,” then public chargers should not be connected in any way to the electric grid - they should only be powered by windmills and solar panels at each station. Maybe then would EV owners realize how much fossil fuels are truly needed.
