Some Republicans may be urging Nikki Haley to drop her presidential bid and step aside for former President Trump — but Trump's former national security adviser, John Bolton, disagrees with them all.
"I think she should stay in," he told CBS News in an interview Friday. "In fact, I think she should announce that she's gonna stay in through the [Republican] convention, no matter what happens in South Carolina, where it looks like she'll lose."
Haley, he went on to say, "can carry the flag for everyone within the Republican party who doesn't want Trump to get the nomination." Yes, he conceded, "it's an uphill fight. There's no doubt about it."

but
Haley is pretty obviously not acceptable, not trusted by the R voter base (and so would be very unlikely of winning an election)
and as for Bolton, why is he giving public statements advising a candidate in the primary? if he has any advice he should call Haley and give it to her directly. not to the mass media. what’s that all about? it looks awfully tacky and frankly quite disrespectful of Haley
And he’s still hoping they’ll be able to take him out and will need a new nominee

The biggest argument against Nikki Haley is how quickly and easily her campaign was bought by a Democrat mega donor. What kind of President would that be? May as well just elect thr Mega Donor.

Why? No rationalization for this course of action is actually offered. Nikki Haley, bless her heart, is probably a practical and reasonably well-informed person, and she can read the handwriting as well as anybody. Donald J. Trump is highly regarded by most of the real Republicans in America, and the margin is too wide to be breached by any negotiations.
