UPS guys have always been well paid; Amazon drivers, not so much. I would guess that could lead to a cut in market share.
That's why I used the word "partially."
The AI tsunami continues
“Didn’t UPS go union not that long ago.”
UPS has been unionized for decades ...
one good thing about the 12,000 UPS layoffs is that almost all of them are coming from their bloated 85,000 executive and administrative staff ...
Typical corporate accounting. They expecting $93 billion, $2 billion more than last year, but they wanted $96 billion, so they say they lost money.
I told the IRS I wanted to make $150K last year but only made $60K. I deducted $90K for my loss and I got audited and had to pay taxes anyhow.
“Didn’t UPS go union not that long ago.”
That’s my understanding too, and I think their drivers now make $100k plus, if I remember correctly.
didn’t they go on strike a while ago? seems like that caused many businesses to find other other and make other deals.

Excellent.
The people delivering packages that keep supply chains moving got raises, and now people that understand efficiency can start working on “the bloat” you’re talking about.
When I get a chance later in the week, I might have to take a peek at their stock. I might throw a few bones at them.
Lol!

Agree not long ago there was a story about them and FedEx.
