Didn't they use to be called MISSILES?Nope, they were air-launched guided glide bombs.
Now they're ground-launched rocket-powered guided glide bombs.

It’s attaching a small gliding bomb to an obsolete M26 rocket motor. M26-s were marked for decommission because they are short range and very inaccurate, but the gliding bomb solves both of these problems and does is very cheaply.
