Leaving aside the important question as to why our military is in Jordan, Syria, or any other place, anyone attacking our troops should expect an overwhelming and devastating response.
I asked before, but details of the attack seem lacking. A drone kills three and injures dozens? A hit on a barracks? Was the defense against such an attack sleeping or not even there?
And then there’s all of the money that Obama and Biden have freed up to Iran. Is that what is paying for the recent activities of Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis, et. al.

The one area where politicians show near universal bipartisan agreement is more war on foreign battlefields, when comes to our border, they can’t even agree that it’s a problem.

The “Islamists” (as you call them) will leave you alone when you stop importing them into your country. As for foreign nations comprised of religiously different (perhaps even non-religious) people? They will never completely “leave you alone”. They question is: How will you deal with them? If your nation has bases in 150 countries around the globe you can expect NOT to be “left alone”.
