The Navy let it get attacked by a small rubber boat. 17 sailors died. The USS Stark was nearly sunk. 37 sailors died. The USS Fitzgerald, under the command at the point of impact by two women mad at each other, collides with a merchant ship. 7 sailors died. The USS McCain runs into a merchant ship. 10 sailors died.
I could go on and on and on. When are we going to stop approving new STUFF when we cannot manage what we’ve got???
Eisenhower said “beware of the military industrial complex”. It’s time to start saying NO to our military on a wide range of equipment and personnel matters.
