That plus all the trans who are joining so the military will pay $100,000+ for their gender surgeries - funny how the enlistment time is pretty much equal to the signing up, starting hormones and therapy and then surgery, recovery and then their time is over and they can leave.

We had the best-educated military we had ever had during that decade and they were awesome in battle, and unlike WWII they were overwhelmingly volunteers, not draftees.

There were a few on my ship who had a choice: jail or Navy.
So is the US Border Patrol. Agents are bailing at a record pace. I hear they are so desperate they are offering a 30K signing bonus.

Also the lives of our servicemen and women mean absolutely nothing to Traitor Joe and those who support his regime, so he has no qualms about sending the military to be killed, or leaving them behind.
I agree, I was there. We were an incredible fighting force. But, the politicians didn't let us win.

Actually, that didn’t happen in the Navy and Airforce. A lot of smart, capable and non criminals gladly joined the Navy or Air Force to avoid going to Nam as a soldier.
I spent the last 3 years of reserve duty at a big Navy Reserve center in the DC area as a recruiter.
My job was to cherry pick those wanting to join the Navy with diplomas or degrees.
The best candidates had passed the mental tests, police checks, medical checkups, and drivers’ license checks to avoid the losers.
I was Naval Security Group, and we often got first choice of the candidates. My other priorities were potential OCS candidates, Seabees, possible Naval Academy candidates.
We often had a backup bucket list of good candidates.
We/I looked for those with good math and English abilities, and tried to get the right “fit” for them and the Navy.
Men with Good math skills and electronic interests were priorities for my 3 years at the center.
New standard: Did you ever play with toy boats in the bathtub as a child?
Shows aptitude and interest.
Note: I used to have a plastic destroyer and a submarine. The sub could go under the tub water and would shoot a spring loaded torpedo you could aim against the trap door on the side of the ship and make it throw pieces into the air.
