DeSantis followed the guidance put forth by President Trump's administration until he quickly realized it was destructive and useless and did a complete 180, much to the criticism of President Trump.

Really? Document Trump criticizing DeSantis about opening back up.

Trump didn't recommend to DeSantis to quarantine travelers.

And DeSantis did indeed praise Fauci.
