Put nukes in DC. It's a target for sure.
Were you around for the Cuban Missile Crisis?
There’s an election coming up soon in Britain. The Maoists are sure to take power and they’re sure to say no to any such plan. After all, they believe that the US is the source of all suffering...all death...and all fear in the world.
Nice. Been to all of them. Also RAF Chicksands, Menwith Hill and Alconbury. Most of our European military bases closed in the 1990s. I spent 1991-1997 there, and my specialty was closing down base communications, circuits and reallocating equipment.
We went from 300K to 72K military personnel in those years.
Then again, the “front lines” are now 500 miles East of where they were in 1991. If we start permanently deploying forces to Poland, Romania and Finland...
The Soviets armed the Cubans against American invasion.
The US must arm the Ukrainians against Russian invasion.
That’s how detente works.
I don’t believe that for even a second.
Xi chuckles
yeah
What could possibly go wrong?
Saw your pic of “The Mountain.” I as there for 6 months in tech control in between a COT from the far east to Lajes Field....and then another COT to Lindsey AS. Last 2-3 years of my 8+ years I was TDY on every comm mountain top/long haul site from HOFN Iceland down through UK, BE, GE, Italy testing the comms links 50% TDY
However, both sides are at war with God, and with atheist China looking to benefit from the conflict as God brings purifying judgment.

I think you are going to be surprised how much the “anti-nuclear” Left in Britain suddenly loves nukes, now that Putin is the target.
Anyone in the real world, that is perhaps a real journalist— hear of Faslane, Scotland. Nukes... strategic
SLBMs?
Putin had been President of Russia for 8 years when these weapons were REMOVED from UK in 2008. Russia has always been the target of European nuclear weapons. As the cold war warmed, Russia seemed less a threat - with Putin as President. Now they seem much more a threat, repeatedly warning they would invade and/or use nuclear weapons against NATO. Kremlin mouthpieces have litterally threatened to nuke London, and last year moved nuclear weapons into Belarus, violating the nuclear non-proliferation treaty. UK's nuclear deterrence is limited to 4 submarines with SLBMs. With the F-35 now able to carry nukes, the B61 is now a legitimate deterrence, and partially compensates for a huge gap in our land and sea based deterrence.
IMO, were Trump POTUS, he would have told Putin that he would respond to Russian nukes in Belarus, bordering 3 NATO members, by deploying US nukes in Poland. Biden did nothing.
“Citizens, please report to the nearest recruiting....bzzzzz....zzzzzt.....” white flash.....
The UK establishment with their Podunk military
And note the British claim, “the UK is the second biggest defence spender in Nato and the largest in Europe”. When we speak of all those nations joining in a theoretical war against Russia, the UK is the supposed powerhouse.
Don’t they have their own? France does.

Prior to Faslane, the USN used Dunoon, Scotland and Santo Stefano, Sardinia, Italy for nuclear boats.
UK has 4 SSBN's that carry just 40 warheads each. That's it. They have about 250 warheads, but are only likely to have 1 or 2 boats on patrol at a time. France isn't much better, though they do have a handful of air launched cruise missiles. UK and France have about 500 warheads between them, but if attacked would only be able to launch a fraction of them.
