“Based on his discussions with the reporters,” Manning said, “Mr. Littlejohn felt that the New York Times shared his belief that the American public had a right to know the president’s tax information.”

Excellent rationale. Very clear and obviously on solid legal ground!

Kinda have a picture of this person as an angry, gay progressive who does not give a damn about following the law if he can damage the right people.

Seems to fit a pattern.

How about the guy who captured the “47%” remark that hobbled Romney in 2012?

How about David Brock and his entire post Anita Hill career?

How do you stop people like this?

Why is there no pattern of insiders and embeds who leak and sabotage Democrats and figures on the left?

Specifically, he constructed a query designed to call up the top 500 taxpayers by income by year for the previous 15 years. After running the query, he stole the entire data set, put it on a flash drive, and gave it to reporters at ProPublica, a left-leaning nonprofit funded by George Soros and other wealthy liberal donors. ProPublica, in turn, published nearly 50 articles using the purloined tax returns to show how the rich use loopholes in the tax code to avoid paying taxes. Congressional Democrats cited the series in their push for higher taxes on the wealthy.

In my view, considering this, it would be OK for a targeted individual to lie about his/her income to the IRS.

And to hire outlaw biker gangs to deal with IRS investigators who wanted to give one trouble about such things.

After all, we're talking about about two lawless gangs, aren't we?

The other 7500 were nothing but an attempt to cover up his real intent. Has the IRS or any state Dept of Revenue audited any of the other 7500? NOPE.

Think about it, if it weren’t for sh*t like this Chris Coons probably wouldn’t be in the Senate right now. Or at least, he probably would have lost that first election to O’Donnell.

Meanwhile, Assange spends his life confined for leaking, at the insistence of the US govt.

This creep wasn’t smart enough to complete the task alone. I detect a larger charge of conspiracy, to be missing from the list of charges.
This was organized, and sanctioned by the IRS, and DOJ.
