As of early September 2022, 32 of France's 56 nuclear reactors were shut down due to maintenance or technical problems.

Yes, there was a big program to catch up on deferred maintenance post-covid. The majority have completed this.

France has been running this nuclear system since the 1970s, note. It was fully built out over 20 years ago. They have a very long track record.
