My brother in law works at Boeing - for a long time he called it the most politically correct company anywhere. Sounds like it’s worse now.

It’s a Delta maintenance issue. Nothing to do with Boeing.
Unless Boeing installed left-hand wheel studs and provided right-hand wheel lug nuts.
