That is a pretty obvious conclusion. But, that does not mean he wont try to expand his borders and go after Moldavia and other places. But, then again if we let Putin lovers like on this board get their way who knows what could happen in the more distant future. Russia just does not seem to learn. Until they learn their lessons we will always to look over our backs and spend defense money to preserve our position. It would be better if this problem were taken care of now.

“That’s exactly what people said about Russia invading mainland Ukraine.”

No.

That’s what the Ukrainian partisans, neocons and Democrats said. But I repeat myself.

Learned persons familiar with history saw it as certain and inevitable after the 2014 revolution/coup.

The US has no real interests in any former Soviet or Russian empire state.

Go ahead and try to make the case we should stop Russia from taking Moldova. It’ll be fun to watch.

TRUMP on Putin: “He’s not going into Ukraine, OK. Just so you understand: He’s not going to go into Ukraine, all right?”

How do you account for President Trump taking such strong military actions against the Russian threat that he thought existed, although in public he was mostly speaking gently about Putin?

Because he is trying to rebuild the country with the old Soviet borders. We need to end the mischief and the crap that they are doing instead of spending the next generation looking over our shoulders and spending money on armaments that we cannot afford. The whole rest of the civilized world sees it and do not see why you people cannot see it either. Russia is the most serious problem to world peace with the Muslims of the Mideast being the next. We do not want them to learn from their “mistakes” and try again.

Yeah, he really sent a boatload of gear didn’t he?

$39 MIL IN Javelins.

Absolutely peanuts compared to what Biden has supplied.

It seems your post is about Ukraine, I didn’t mention Ukraine in that post, it was about our NATO forces and Trump’s massive build-up and relocation of our nuclear and conventional forces against Putin.

..If they opened up one or even two additional theaters, the women of Russia would storm the Kremlin and cut Putin’s balls off.

Russian women would add some carrots and potatoes and make a good soup

Hi.

Apparently Newsweek hasn't seen what's happening in the Ukraine.

Vlad's conquest of Kiev didn't go as planned.

No, Pooty Poot’s attempt to establish the Czarist Russia again would end in complete disaster.

This is truly fascinating.
The Alexandr Dugin program has been implemented very well so far by the Kremlinists...

However, things are happening... It costs Russia way more than what they had originally planned for. It’s not a 3 day war anymore... its a 2 year (and ongoing) war as we speak.
The kremlin has been forced to dedicate A THIRD of its entire national budget in order to cope with the Ukraine war!
THAT is utter madness, a recipe to destroy Russia in the longer run and make it rot from within.

Actually, I thought I saw that Russia was spending 40% of its budget on war costs including weapons. Meanwhile NATO countries are asked to spend 2%, and some like Poland are pledging to spend 4% of GDP, and we have been spending 5% or 6% of our total military budget to help Ukraine.
