Every one of these companies has the same phone answering machine message: “We take your data security very seriously” followed immediately by “Due to heavier than usual call volume...”

I’ve gotten announcements of breaches from probably five or six companies the past month alone, the most recent two days ago. They all offer a free year of credit monitoring. A lot of good multiple credit monitors does.
