We left in 2010. Every time you went to the Library between 2002 and 2010, you drove by our house.

We were there when RR died and the shuttles taking mourners up to pay their respects passed by our bedroom. Made it hard to sleep, shifting gears going up the hill.

One year, a group of FReepers went to visit the Library. We all met for breakfast (at Marie Callendar’s, I think).

I’m pretty sure that solar crap wasn’t there when we left. How awful. The view WAS stunning.

Oh my goodness! We definitely know that hill up to the RR Library. Wish I knew what house you lived in!

I spent all day in front of the TV, watching every minute of RR's funeral - in both Washington DC and in Simi Valley. Incredible funeral. I still can't get the beautiful "The Mansions of the Lord" song out of my head. Heard it about a year ago when we were at the RR Library... there's a video of RR's funeral playing on a continuous loop in one of the rooms of the Library.

Yes, the solar crap is terrible. The view is still stunning, of course, but that solar farm really mars the beautiful view. I feel sorry for people who never visited the Library until recently, and never got to see the view without all that solar crap.
