The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced Sunday the death of two Navy SEALs who went missing off the coast of Somalia, according to a press release.
News broke Jan. 13 that two SEALs went missing Jan. 11 after a mission to seize a sailboat — called a dhow — loaded with parts for Iranian medium-range ballistic missiles went wrong. Since the incident, officials had been searching for the two SEALs for 10 days. CENTCOM has stated in a press release, however, that while they have not located the bodies, their status has now been “changed to deceased.”
“We regret to announce that after a 10-day exhaustive search, our two missing U.S. Navy SEALs have not been located and their status has been changed to deceased. The search and rescue operation for the two Navy SEALs reported missing during the boarding of an illicit dhow carrying Iranian advanced conventional weapons Jan. 11 concluded and we are now conducting recovery operations,” CENTCOM stated.
During the attempt to board the ship from a small operations combat craft, a swell had caught one of the SEALs and pulled him underwater, with the second jumping in to attempt to save him, according to the press statement.

Its the proper attitude. Especially with the corrupt MSM providing cover.
Americans at bases out in the middle of Syria and Iraq have been under near constant rocket (and now ballistic missiles) attack for the last 4 months. Yet no information whatsoever on casualties or deaths.
No. The smuggling ship was already known. It was watched by satellites as it was loaded. It was tracked when it sailed. This was abuse of SOF guys. It should have been handled by a 5 inch gun. And not squander the lives of those men. You worry about police style evidence? This isn’t a court case.
I didn’t know about the satellite observations and tracking. Was that reported? Or are you surmising?
These guys are human. Life is fragile.
Yes it was. There is no logical reason to send in SEALS outside of a hostage or similar situation. That ship/boat should have been intercepted and boarded in broad daylight, if it was to be boarded at all. Doesn't the USCG generally handle these interdiction's on any given day? WTH was this really about?
You think distrusting our government is disrespecting the seals? That’s absurd
In a boarding operation, fighting men aren't set up for swimming operations and likely weren't burdened with floatation vests either.
Men wearing combat gear would have had trouble releasing that extra weight quickly.
More likely that Puppet Biden had them shot because they were MAGA voters.
Now Lloyd “Idi Amin” Austin can bring in the trannies to do the work real men refuse to do. /spit
This story stinks to high heaven.
The government story is crap. First, the odds of two Seals dying that way is astronomically small. Second, they would very likely had IR strobes on their gear making it quite easy to find them.
What I think is the real story. They were on a mission in Yemen. Killed, captured or MIA. So they made up the phony story.
This incident is strange. The thing that might have happened is during the “swell” one was knocked unconscious. But after that not much makes sense.
The search radius thing is puzzling.
CENTCOM officials stated the search for the two included “airborne and naval platforms from the U.S., Japan, and Spain,” collectively covering over 21,000 square miles.
That has to be a typo. 2,100 I can understand, sort of.
If we are not watching the Iranian ports with satellites and some serious ISR and signals intel, it is severe dereliction of duty. The Navy already said they knew that ship as a smuggler ship.
Guaranteed they were watching it as it loaded and sailed. Almost certainly following with an attack sub.
If people are too squeamish to hit it with a 5 inch deck gun, then let the sub expend a torpedo on it. If anyone asks just shrug and say it is a known smuggling ship and it’s hazardous cargo probably blew.
