True - I didn’t mean to sound like I was endorsing biased, agenda-driven entertainment, or that I think it’s harmless.
I was just realizing maybe as a solidified Conservative, I can afford to feel less personally threatened by it - and stop scaring my wife by throwing things at the TV. :-)
I think Hollywood has been terribly destructive in shaping young minds. Second only to bad teaching and bad parenting, which has thrown critical thinking out the window.
It is crucially important that, rather than dropping out or boycotting Hollywood, conservatives and religious people ATTEND good movies. I was pleasantly surprised, for ex., by the Christmas movie, a musical, “Journey to Bethlehem.”
