Hopefully DeSantis hasn’t ruined his political career in Florida, assuming he wants to continue being governor there beyond the end of his current term (2026).

"Hopefully DeSantis hasn’t ruined his political career in Florida, assuming he wants to continue being governor there beyond the end of his current term (2026)."

He can't run for Governor again. He's limited to two terms, and he used up 8 months of his second term galavanting around the country. If he wants to run for Governor again, he has to wait another four years, but by then, Floridians will be saying "Ron Who???"

Florida requires a four year term hiatus before a Governor who has served two consecutive terms can run again.

Florida US Senator Rick Scott plans to run for reelection in 2024. If Scott wins, he will be 78 years old at the end of his next term.
