Follow the Money: Fulton County Auditors Demand Answers from Willis
Hot Air ^ | 1/20/24 | ED MORRISSEY

And the hits just keep on comin’! Late yesterday, in a day filled with all sorts of development in the Fani Willis scandal, yet another shoe dropped in the saga. After evidence emerged that Willis-appointed special prosecutor Nathan Wade did indeed spend some of the money Willis paid him for her travel and vacations, the Fulton County Audit Committee has now taken an interest in the case.

County commissioner and committee chair Bob Ellis sent a letter to Willis demanding to know if she benefited from the taxpayer funds she directed to Wade. Because if she did, well … that’s a big no bueno:

Fulton County Commissioner Bob Ellis, the chairman of the county’s audit committee, sent a letter to Willis Friday evening asking whether she engaged in a “romantic relationship” with special prosecutor Nathan Wade, “misused” county funds, and “accepted valuable gifts and personal benefits from a contractor/recipient of County funds.”

“These allegations involve your decision to appoint Nathan Wade to serve as a special prosecutor in the matter in which former President Trump is a co-defendant. Mr. Wade is alleged to (1) lack relevant prosecutorial experience in a case of this type and complexity, (2) have paid for your portion of multiple instances of joint leisure travel, and (3) be in a romantic relationship with you that was not disclosed to the court or to the parties in the case,” Ellis wrote.

Willis is making one foolish mistake after another. She apparently has so often used her race and sex to shield herself from scrutiny that she assumes she can just wave away any responsibility for her actions by screaming "racist" once again.

There is too much of a spotlight on this issue now. The Fulton County auditor has no choice but to investigate the payments made to Wade. Also AG Carr may be forced into an investigation as well.

That’s how black girl power works. Everyone else is at fault. They are always the victims of some white man.

Willis apparently has used race and sex to shield herself from scrutiny many times;
she gets away w/ taking no responsibility for her actions just by screaming “racism.”

Maybe the smug “woman of color” went too far this time.

Honest services fraud is defined in US Code Title 18 Section 1346

Honest services fraud is a federal crime, and it carries stiff penalties. If you are convicted of honest services fraud, you could face up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.

I wonder where Merrick garland is???

dnyuz.com excerpt

One of the most awkward moments during Mr. Wade’s unwelcome time spent in the spotlight came when a number of co-defendants in the Trump case complained to the presiding judge that they had received auto-generated mailers from a local law firm that was trying to drum up business.

“Our lawyers have an abundance of experience handling cases in the state and local courts of Metro Atlanta,” the letters stated.

The law firm was Mr. Wade’s.

Democrats are trying to put on a good face and defend both Willis and Wade, but they know that is a losing battle and it is very likely both will be removed from the RICO cases.

As a side note, Wade graduated law school from John Marshall Law School in Georgia. That law school is for the aspiring lawyers that don’t have the grades or scores to be accepted to other Georgia law schools. John Marshall’s bar passage rate is about 66%. As a comparison, UGA Law (highest in the state) usually has about a 98% ultimate passage rate.

JM’s median LSAT scores (the test a student must take to apply to law school) for their first year law students is about 150. UGA Law’s is about 168. So, as lawyer’s go it is obvious he is not the cream of the crop. There were a lot more qualified attorneys who specialize in RICO cases who could have been selected for the position.
