My relatives fought for the Union... When do I get my reparations?

I hate to break it to you, but that will never happen. If reparations are approved, your family line will have to pay again.

My ancestors weren’t even living in the U.S. at that time, and I will have to pay up, too.

I’ve never heard any serious discussions of who will have to pay reparations. I don’t even know how the government will distinguish between the taxes paid by blacks, Asians, Hispanics, whites, etc. They will all have to put their money in the tax bucket to be disbursed.

Ultimately, Chinese and Arab oil-country taxpayers will fund the reparations. Because the only way this country can afford to pay reparations is by funding through debt.

And who is going to but that debt? There is a delicious irony in there somewhere. In one sense, Barack Obama's distant cousins in Africa will be paying part of the bill, because his ancestors were among the Africans who captured and enslaved the Africans who ended up in America because the democrats didn't want to pick their own cotton.
