Learn to plumb. Learn to dig ditches. Learn to weld. Learn to wire. Learn to WORK!
I love Xfinity’s AI. It is SO helpful. Today’s useful exchange with their very smart bot below:
* Is your cable modem plugged in?
* Is your cable modem on?
* Are the cables tight
* “Let me restart your modem”
* Did your modem restart?
* I cannot get a signal. I will send a tech to your house.
25 outages the past 30 days ranging from one minute to six hours.
“Learn to plumb.”
I had a neighbor circa 2010 that had Mexicans plumbing new houses at $600 each.
He had to go into framing houses since even with Mexicans $600 wasn’t enough money.
I get knocked off the Internet about three times a day.
I live in Florida. It is chilly. I have resistance heat.
Knocking me off the Internet to save .02kwh per day won’t save the planet.
Dear Property Tax Collector:
My income is less.
Your income needs to be less.
I am amazed how much Hispanics have taken over the trades.
They put up fences and blow insulation into attics without being able to speak English.
Only the salesmen need to speak English. And I could comment further, but I have a financial interest to the contrary.
Dear Microsoft Board of Directors:
I think your software....
That’s what I was going to tell everybody; “let me know when an AI can come into a house and replumb or rewire it.
Let me know when an AI can come out to a vacant lot and in two or three months have a new house built on it”!
Had a guy who worked in MY IT department once tell me that AI and VIRTUAL REALITY would soon replace all my plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, glaziers, etc.
Had 83 guys in my department of all trades for new construction and maintenance of facilities, including IT.
Told him to get his AI and VR asses out there and change the tires on the Gradall Excavator and I wanted it done before start of shift in the morning.
He never said another word to me about AI or Virtual Reality again!
Anybody who thinks you can plumb a house, whether new construction or repair for 600 dollars is an IDIOT!
He had to pay his under the table WETBACKS and still had material costs.
I got out of the trade in 1990 and went into construction management, but in 2010 it would still cost you about 5 to 6 thousand dollars to plumb an entire house, and that’s using standard materials—nothing fancy.

That’s awesome!
Hate to buy one of those places!

Better yet, Learn to dig!
That does make sense. When I bought my house in 2022, it needed some major plumbing work. I paid nearly $4000.
Class Warfare by the left. How predictable.
Writers are using it to write articles. Some even admit it.
Who is going to fix your toilet when it goes bad? We are at 1 degree, there is still snow on the streets homes are on, doubt you’d get an Expensive plumber out. The last time Hub installed one, he could barely lift it due to age. It rocks, and then he leaned back on the guest one and broke something loose. He’s in no shape physically to fix either one. 83 is too old.
AI needs IT workers to fix it for now.
Learn to weld.
