What happen? The mission changed from educating to indoctrination.
How did this happen? Government money (in the form of student loans and grants).
The teaching job became immune from real life financial pressures and certain types migrated there. Then there’s the bankrupt philosophy of “perception IS reality”. People who really wanted to do something innovative with their education and ideas got out of there.
So what you have left is a bunch of mouthy, huggers, safety conscious,self aggrandizing mediocrities running the U.
I would not recommend anyone going there unless they were going to learn something no one else could teach. Y’know...if they had somethings like astronaut or pilot training major or nuclear engineering, or advanced particle physics with an in-house particle accelerator
