The western Iowa counties are deep red and last to come in... so says the talking heads.

I can see Trump blowing through 60% when the dust settles.

Trump has already set a record in the state caucus for the most votes for a candidate ever received.

Between Haley, DeSantis, and Ramaswamy, their combined campaign spending for second, third, and fourth place, is in the $300 million dollar range.

And their combined percentage at the moment is 45.8% to Trump’s 53.3.

Note — the percentage of votes in just dropped from 39% to 38%. I hope we aren’t going to start that again this election.

NW Iowa counties are somewhat more Evangelical (Cruz did well in 2016), SW Iowa counties are blue collar/rust belt/”Southern” in character. Trump did well there in 2016.
