No one on the other side can explain how holding the January 6th suspects in jail for years, often in solitary confinement is not a violation of the 6th amendment guarantee of a speedy trial and the 8th amendment prohibitions on excessive bail, excessive fines and cruel and unusual punishment. The trial should be "we you in the Capitol against the rules? Did you commit any violence? OK, $100 fine and a year of probation. Next!" Instead, the Deep State is trying to make clear that no one from the right is allowed to protest even if the left is burning down cities unpunished.
Consider that Jefferson Davis, the greatest insurrectionist since Satan himself (eyeroll), was only held without bail for two years before he was allowed out and then later pardoned.

Because they can't. They ignore it all together, either because they know its wrong and win't admit it, or worse, are all for it and pretend otherwise to mislead others.
