New Hampshire AG sends cease-and-desist order to DNC for 'false, deceptive, and misleading' comments about election

New Hampshire Republican Attorney General John Formella recently sent a cease-and-desist order to the Democratic National Committee, WBTS reported.

Formella accused the DNC of making "false, deceptive, and misleading" comments regarding the state's presidential primary election. In the AG's order, he referred to a letter the DNC's Rules and Bylaws Committee sent to New Hampshire Democratic Party Chair Ray Buckley, instructing Democrats to "educate the public" that the state's election is "meaningless."

DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee co-chairs Minyon Moore and James Roosevelt Jr. wrote in the letter, "The [New Hampshire Democratic Party] must take steps to educate the public that January 23rd is a non-binding presidential preference event and is meaningless and the NHDP and presidential candidates should take all steps possible not to participate."

Last year, the DNC passed a new early presidential primary calendar for 2024, which President Biden supported. The DNC's updated calendar sought to make South Carolina the first state to kick off the election on February 3. New Hampshire refused to comply with the changes, setting its primary date on January 23. Sign up for the Blaze newsletter

The Monday cease-and-desist order accused the DNC's comments of violating the state's voter suppression laws.

"Your January 5, 2024, letter admits that the RBC previously commanded NHDP to 'educate the public' that a New Hampshire election, scheduled and held in accordance with New Hampshire law, was 'meaningless.' Regardless of whether the DNC refuses to award delegates to the party's national convention based on the results of the January 24, 2024, New Hampshire democratic Presidential Primary Election, that election is not 'meaningless.' Your statements to the contrary are false, deceptive, and misleading," Assistant Attorney General Brendan O'Donnell wrote.

The AG's office accused the DNC's comments of attempting to "prevent or deter" residents from voting.

"This matter remains open, and this Office reserves the right to take further enforcement action based on the actions described in this letter and any other actions that violate State election laws," the letter concluded.

Buckley responded to the order Monday, stating, "Well, it's safe to say in New Hampshire, the DNC is less popular than the NY Yankees."

"State law requires the New Hampshire Secretary of State to conduct the first-in-the-nation primary and he is going to follow the law — period. Nothing has changed, and we look forward to seeing a great Democratic voter turnout on January 23rd," Buckley added.

said Biden name not on ballot

WMUR:”President Joe Biden’s name won’t be on the ballot because of the rift between the DNC and the state. But some New Hampshire Democrats are organizing a write-in campaign, so voters who want to pick the incumbent will need to write Biden’s name in the write-in field.”

Various candidates will be on
the ballot including the guy who
wears a boot on his head, Vermin
Supreme.
I don’t know if Biden’s name has
since been added to the ballot
but could this explain
their “meaningless” tag?

ABCNews:”When New Hampshire didn’t move the primary as required, the party stripped the delegates it would have awarded — making the Jan. 23 contest purely symbolic, though locals say the results could still shape public perception.

“Biden said he won’t officially be on the ballot. But, because he faces long shot challengers like Minnesota Rep. Dean Phillips, a push has emerged to ensure the president wins with write-in votes”

What New Hampshire Democrats are *really* going to do has nothing to do with Biden — they are going to infiltrate the Republican primary en masse and vote for Nimrod in order to try to damage Trump.

Then the media narrative will (gleefully) be that Nimrod is surging and Trump is finished.

At various times Vermin has run as
a Democrat, Republican, or Libertarian.
Wiki:”Supreme is running again for president in 2024, this time for the Democratic nomination. Supreme has thus far obtained ballot access in one state for the Democratic primaries, New Hampshire. On December 8, 2023, Supreme appeared at the Lesser-Known Candidates Forum hosted by Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire Supreme will also appear on the ballot for the Legal Marijuana Now Party’s nomination in Minnesota, alongside four other candidates.”
