The Russian army is suffering heavy losses due to artillery and drone strikes covering the Ukrainian bridgehead in Krynky on the left bank of the Dnipro River, according to the UK Ministry of Defense

Ukrainian forces operating on the left bank of the Dnipro River are using unmanned aerial vehicles equipped with ammunition to strike Russian forces.

According to UK intelligence, FPV drones are used in conjunction with artillery to target Russian armed forces vehicles. According to a Russian military blogger, 90% of Russian military equipment in the Krynky sector was destroyed.

“Russia’s inability to counter the FPV-UAVs is likely due to a shortage of Russian Electronic Warfare capability in the area,” the UK Ministry of Defense says.

Back in November 2023, it became known that Ukrainian forces managed to gain a foothold on the left bank of the Kherson region. They hold the bridgehead and do not allow them to be driven out, despite constant attempts by the enemy to attack.

Over the past month, work has been underway to expand the bridgehead on the left bank. Ukrainian drones mine the roads at night and finish off enemy equipment and vehicles in the morning by dropping ammunition.
