“Whether he put himself on the line correctly is not an issue in this respect.”

Trying to fix a stolen election is not a “whether or not” thing. It’s always correct.

The “repect” of the issue being referred to was whether he did it “correctly” or not, not whether. he should have done it at all or not.

That is, in my mind, not negotiable. He tried to help repair a stolen election, and that is right in any book.
