Jordan launches probe into Nathan Wade, alleged lover of Fulton County DA Willis

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan launched a probe into Nathan Wade, the special prosecutor in former President Donald Trump's Georgia case and the alleged lover of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

Earlier this week, one of Trump's co-defendants alleged that Willis maintained a clandestine relationship with Wade, whom she hired for the case as has paid more than $650,000. Jordan's letter did not directly address the allegations of the relationship, but focused on Wade's receipt of funds.

"According to a recent court filing, you have been paid more than $650,000—at the rate of $250 per hour—to serve as an 'Attorney Consultant' and later a 'Special Assistant District Attorney' in the unprecedented investigation and prosecution of the former President and other former federal officials," Jordan wrote. "This filing also alleges that while receiving a substantial amount of money from Fulton County, you spent extravagantly on lavish vacations with your boss, Ms. Willis."

Sometimes I wonder if these quick Congressional actions lead to legal stonewalling. They can say, after all, they can answer any questions due to an ongoing investigation.

Why doesn’t Congress let it boil in Georgia for a time, and start an investigation later if that is not prosecuted locally?

The first one that sings gets the deal. Jordan is letting Wade know that Willis has refused to cooperate. Wade now has a choice. March in lock-step with Willis and eventually go down with the ship, or cooperate with Jordan and escape with little repercussions. Remember, Wade also has a scorned wife breathing down his neck. Her attorney is apparently feeding info to someone on Trump’s side. The info is going to all eventually come out whether Wade cooperates or not. He has a decision to make.

$250 per hour is pretty darn cheap for legal consulting.

He would earn $2,000 a day at eight hours a day.

He needed to work 325 eight hour days to score $650,000.

Maybe he was consulting on other issues, too?

Jordan’s on it so we can be certain nothing more than a sternly worded letter will be mailed out.

It looks like Big Fani isn’t going to get the big “I Got Trump” trophy. Just a participation trophy is all she’s gonna get.

“Why doesn’t Congress let it boil in Georgia for a time, and start an investigation later if that is not prosecuted locally?”

An investigation in Georgia actually may start moving pretty quickly regardless what Congress does. Fulton County is a wart on the state of Georgia and there are a lot of actual ethical attorneys in other parts of the state. There is going to be a push by local Bars for an investigation.

For one, the actual experienced RICO attorneys are not happy that Wade was appointed to this case given his lack of experienced in the field. Also, attorneys know that Willis was appointed DA based upon her sex and race although there were a lot of more qualified attorneys for the position, and her lack of competency in office is well-known. That gained her few friends. Her spending the money meant to clear the back-log of cases on the Trump prosecution instead is also going to cause problems. Those on her side in Fulton County are not going to be able to sweep this under the rug.

Kemp may hope to ignore the issues, but the Georgia Bar is more powerful in the state than he is. Also, that ex-wife is going to see $$$ in her future and will want to be portrayed as a victim so she will work to keep it in the media as much as possible.

Re: "The first one that sings gets the deal."

Their crimes - if any - would most likely involve state laws only.

Possibly, the fact that this trial involves a federal election raises other federal issues.

However, I cannot see the Biden DOJ indicting anyone who is earnestly trying to destroy Donald Trump and his supporters.

Perhaps we could get Fani Willis to describe all the (cough) fun ways
she and Wade burned through $650,000 of taxpayer money.

Wade was paid at the rate of $250 per hour—as an ‘Attorney Consultant’ and later a ‘Special Assistant District Atty’ in the Trump prosecution for 2021-2022 alone county records show..

One WH consultation alone (he went to the WH twice) netted Wade $4000.

But wait.........Wade’s law firm partner got another $175,000 or so for helping out Wade.

The law firm bundle was in addition to the tax dollars Wade got as a “special prosecutor.

PLUS Fani gave Sp/Pr Wade....wait for it......a govt “expense account.”

He musta “performed” really well to get that perk....snx.

That’s what we need to see.....Willis would have done mucho
damage to taxpayers helping Wade fill out his expense account.

Right now, the entire prosecution of Trump in Georgia will probably be put on hold. Any information Jordan uncovers will be of benefit to Trump and boost the perception that this was coordinated political prosecution against Trump. I doubt we will see any resolution of Willis’s case against Trump before November. The same goes for the other Defendants (unless it is just dismissals of all charges). Willis and Wade have screwed up royally.

Wade’s $250 per hour include nailing Fani in the Caribbean?

Maybe the "consulting" included the 24/7 "work" he had to do on the cruises...

Which gives you an idea of what quality of a lawyer this guy is - or that he was scamming the billing.

As you point out, he has already worked 325 eight hour days. Just how much work has a done on other legal matters as well?

My bet is that he has engaged in outright fraud

The question I have, is, how ugly is Wade’s wife, that he thinks Fani, is a better catch. Or, did he just close his eyes and think about how good the money was for him.

Wade and Willis should be prosecuted federally for racketeering
based on “honest services wire fraud” but that will never happen.

Reality check

Any citizen, can act as a private plaintiff:
<><>to bring a civil RICO claim against everyone involved
<><>a key charge is that Wade & Willis got paid to meet with WH personnel
<><>Biden’s WH helped to coordinate the attack (collusion).
<><>Wade’s WH billing invoices now online are the most powerful evidence
<><>The RICO venue statute is very broad,
<><>so the case could be brought in Georgia, or anywhere else there is a defendant,
<><>or any place where acts related to the conspiracy occurred.

There are any number of web sites that instruct on how to eaasily file a RICO.
