More details may emerge on the circumstances of Mashkoor’s ill-fated attempt to join ISIS, but the facts as laid out in the complaint are hallmarks of terrorism prosecutions based on FBI stings: a young man with developmental disabilities, already on the police’s radar due to mental health episodes and conflicts with family, groomed as a minor over a long period by a group of undercover FBI agents. Mashkoor’s case also follows a pattern of FBI sting operations in which a teenager is arrested shortly after their 18th birthday. As in similar cases, the court documents suggest that Mashkoor was limited in his ability to execute a terrorist plot on his own.

Does ISIS make candidates take a psychological evaluation before joining?

In recent years the FBI has engaged in more than mere “entrapment” and instead led FBI instigated entrapment.
This is not traditional “undercover” work, but FBI seeking to create the characters they claim to be seeking to prosecute.

So the odds are this mentally challenged guy would never have tried to join ISIS if he was not induced to do so by the FBI. Terrific - induce criminal acts and then bust the people you've induced into criminal activity. Our FBI at work.

Does ISIS make candidates take a psychological evaluation before joining? Voluntarily attempting to join is a sort of field-expedient psychological evaluation ...

So, how many assassins/school shooters have been similarly “groomed” for political purposes?

Since it was the FBI behind and instigating everything that cause this troubled person to do this, NOTHING Prevents a New President Trump from PROSECUTING EVERY AGENT involved for Conspiracy to Join a Terrorist Organization and locking them up for LIFE.

I can’t believe the FBI agents that planned and promoted a kidnapping of a state governor aren’t sitting in a 4×10 cell every day for 20 years. Oh.... never mind. They planned and promoted the kidnapping, but tried to sell the plan to Deplorables that wouldn’t carry it out. But the Deplorables were still charged. The FBI provocateur got promotions and new corner offices added to their remote places of work. (New pool houses added to their homes)
