“The national reaction of outrage at the earlier Memphis riots of 1866 and the New Orleans Massacre helped the Radical Republicans win a majority in both houses of Congress in the 1866 midterm elections. The riots catalyzed support for the Fourteenth Amendment, extending suffrage and full citizenship to freedmen, and the Reconstruction Act, to establish military districts for the national government to oversee areas of the South and work to change their social arrangements.”

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Orleans_Massacre_of_1866

“Already men are shot by stealth in the late slave States because they declare justice to be the best policy. Already school-houses are burned and teachers hunted away because they seek to enlighten the minds which slavery had darkened…. In Memphis hatred of the principle of equal rights before the law massacres the most friendless and unfortunate part of the population; and in New Orleans the advocates of the same principle, meeting to discuss the subject, are ferociously murdered. But still the slow mills of God grind on. The seed of equal rights will be watered, not drowned, by the blood of the sowers. It will surely grow into a harvest which no storm can destroy….”

https://constitutioncenter.org/the-constitution/historic-document-library/detail/the-massacre-in-new-orleans-harpers-weekly-august-18-1866

“The outcome of the Memphis riot and a similar incident (the New Orleans massacre in July 1866) was to increase support for Radical Reconstruction. Reports of the riot discredited President Andrew Johnson, who was from Tennessee and had been military governor of Tennessee under Lincoln. Johnson’s program of Presidential Reconstruction was blocked, and the Congress moved toward Radical Reconstruction. The Radical Republicans swept the congressional elections of 1866, obtaining a veto-proof majority in Washington. Subsequently, they passed key pieces of legislation, such as the Reconstruction Acts, Enforcement Acts, and the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution which guaranteed citizenship, equal protection of the laws, and due process to former slaves. The change in the political climate, catalyzed by the response to the race riots, ultimately enabled former slaves to obtain the full rights of citizenship.”

“the Police AND the state can be held responsible and liable for all damages?”

That seems reasonable to me.

Furthermore, a proposition of the State of California was previously voided as being in conflict with Amendment XIV.

They might want to turn their ire on the cause of the problem, who they vote for. But they may not be able to connect the dots.

““Desperate times call for desperate measures”, yes they are putting themselves out on the tip of the spear, but the City/State has pushed them up against the wall. This needed to be said and someone is going to be martyred before it changes. Sad but true.”

I would expect “anti-CHAZ” “private security policed business areas” with some tacit hands off agreement from LEO. Rationalized as Freeing up city budget and freeing LEOs to persue more critical policing functions.

This will essentially no different from the old days of Mafia controlled areas. 100% completely safe. A woman could walk alone. drunk at 2am with no fear. Bad people just KNEW. You don’t screw around in that area.

Their job is to draw a chalk line around the body. Then find and prosecute the perpetrator. Enforce the laws. NOT be a bodyguard to every person 24/7.

Their real job is to enforce the orders of the rulers. All of the other activities you mentioned are optional.

Criminal predation works to the advantage of the rulers. It keeps the population in fear and begging the government to "do something". "Something" invariably means the acquisition of new government powers. That is why the "justice system" drifts into protecting criminals and persecuting subjects who resist criminals.

The problems get solved when the rulers want them solved. Or when the subjects remove the rulers and take matters into their own hands.

California 2020 election results:

Biden 63.48% Trump 34.32%

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_United_States_presidential_election_in_California

“Nowhere is the demographic significance of Asian Americans more readily apparent than in California, the most populous state in the union. AAPI residents comprise roughly 15.5 percent of California’s population, or 6 million people.”

https://carnegieendowment.org/2023/10/17/asian-americans-in-california-results-from-2022-survey-pub-90765

Add 15.5% to Trump’s percentage and subtract 15.5% from Biden’s percentage.

The zealous prosecution of one man, MLK Jr., enabled JFK to win the White House and put LBJ one event away from the Oval Office.

This needed to be said and someone is going to be martyred before it changes. Sad but true. ———- People are already being martyred. Think Ashley Babbit. The global elites have been talking about a “Great Reset”. What this country needs is a Great Reset from We The People . If our states can’t, or won’t enforce laws, then we, the people will have no choice but to enforce them ourselves. We can’t allow this to continue. We either elect people who WILL enforce the laws, or we will have to enforce them ourselves.

That seems reasonable to me.

Absolutely ridiculous. and completely unworkable.

Hypothetically.. A Hate Crime happens.
So, EVERY Policeman in the state is immediately arrested (by the police?) and jailed (Not sure who is garding them now) for failing to prevent this crime?

But aside from TONS of SCOTUS precedent spelling out that Police are LAW ENFORCEMENT officers and NOT body guards. They also, for better or worse have qalified immunity (varing degrees) in most cases.

But, put it to the test. Next time a hate crime happens. File suit and go after the state Governor.

The Asian store owners might form a Federal Credit Union.

Rob a Federal Credit Union and it’s a federal offense.

This safe is the property of the Oakland Small Store Owners Federal Credit Union.

“Court’s in session. Here comes the judge, here comes the judge”

How much was taken?

How much were your medical bills?

How much money did you lose by being closed?

How much for your pain and stress?

Should I award punitive damages?

Fiona Ma (the State Treasurer) can have a check issued.

“Former Kentucky court clerk Kim Davis is not laughing.”

Apples and oranges.

it is not even close.. She was a state clerk ordered to provide licenses to gay couples. She refused (on religious grounds). it went to court, she lost. it was appealed up to Scotus She lost. She continied to not issue licenses. She did a couple of days for contempt and then civily sued by the gay couple and awarded civil damages.

“ And if you shoot them, you can guarantee you will be prosecuted for it, ”

If that were the case, I would be particular whom I “held responsible” for the situation that forced me to react in such a manner. I wonder how unelected persons who make such decisions would feel about being “held responsible” for the decisions they made.
