The guard were AUTHORIZED by Trump days earlier. The letter was presented in Kash Patel’s testimony in Colorado case.

There’s also evidence Bowser refused them except for 340 to handle traffic and it seems from all indications that Natzi did refuse guard troops until much later for CYA purposes in the afternoon when the event was likely over.

“On Thursday evening, when McCarthy first tweeted asking Pelosi and Schumer why the Guard members were quartered in the garage, his spokesperson Michele Exner told CNN that ‘both Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer oversee and ultimately are responsible for the Capitol’s administrative matters’.”

The decision on whether to call National Guard troops to the Capitol is made by what is known as the Capitol Police Board, which is made up of the House Sergeant at Arms, the Senate Sergeant at Arms and the Architect of the Capitol. The board decided not to call the guard ahead of the insurrection but did eventually request assistance after the rioting had already begun, and the troops arrived several hours later.

“The House Sergeant at Arms reports to Pelosi and the Senate Sergeant at Arms reported to McConnell, a Republican who was then Senate Majority Leader. There is no evidence that either directed the security officials not to call the guard beforehand, and Hammill said after the insurrection that Pelosi was never informed of such a request.”

“Sund told the Post that House Sergeant-at-Arms Paul Irving was concerned with the “optics” of declaring an emergency ahead of the protests and rejected a National Guard presence. He says Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Michael Stenger recommended that he informally request the Guard to be ready in case it was needed to maintain security.”

“Documents provided by [current] House Sergeant at Arms show how then-House Sergeant at Arms Paul Irving carried out his duties in clear deference to the Speaker, her staff, and other Democratic staff . . .

“House Rules dictate . . . that the Sergeant at Arms is to report directly to the Speaker of the House.”

"There’s also evidence Bowser refused them..."

Yes I just posted it straight from Patel's site.

"it seems from all indications that Natzi did refuse Guard troops until much later for CYA purposes in the afternoon when the event was likely over."

26,000 National Guardsmen marched into DC from J7 to the Installation, and were kept there until MEMORIAL DAY. Over 500M wasted in search of a #Narrative to paper over the soft military coup.

The letter was presented in Kash Patel’s testimony in Colorado case.

What letter? Kash Patel is also one of those claiming the Presidential Records Act protects a President from holding on to classified information after they leave office. , which is the opposite of what it actually says.

THere’s also evidence Bowser refused them

So what. The DC national guard reports to the President. Look it up.

The decision on whether to call National Guard troops to the Capitol is made by what is known as the Capitol Police Board, which is made up of the House Sergeant at Arms, the Senate Sergeant at Arms and the Architect of the Capitol.

That’s one option, but it is not the ONLY option. The DC National Guard reports to the President. They will deploy whenever he orders it. He ordered it after the riots turned violent, and people had died, but he could have far before then.

District of Columbia National Guard

The President of the United States is the commander-in-chief of the District of Columbia National Guard.
