So what, white folks were not the only ones who owned slaves in the day, some of the largest slave owners were black. Back in those times whites and blacks were slaves in this country and to destroy the past to be politically correct or woke is no different than what the Taliban or ISIS has done or is doing.
What this administration is doing is destroying everything that built this nation. Nothing good will come of this except for the communists agenda of their continuing fracturing of our country.

The slavery angle may not be discussed too much by DOI / NPS as some American Indian tribes would take captives of opposing tribes. I’m unsure if that was practice for tribes mentioned in the article.
