Lyle Alzado died of lymphoma of the brain.

There is no known causal link between steroids and this cancer.

I know. However, Alzado himself said that the steroids were giving him constant fits of anger and rage, both on and off the field. For example, if another driver annoyed him, Alzado would often follow that driver, pull him out of his car, and beat them up good. Alzado always blamed the steroids for that. He also said that he was flat out addicted to them, and couldn't quit.
