As I’ve noted before, when more than two parties compete in an election, the party that is able to hold their voters the best will win - and no one, not even Reagan, could hold his voters like Trump does.
So it looks like Maine is all Trump now!
Speaking of Reagan, a lot of political analysts at the time (1980) thought that John Anderson, running Third Party would somehow hurt the Gipper because he was a Republican in Congress. But they were WRONG! Why? Because a lot of Democrats who would never vote for Reagan, cast their ballots for Anderson thus helping Jimmy Carter to lose.
mandatory runoffs would fix this ...
