One of the main reasons I'm a DeSantis supporters. It won't be as effective and he'll have to come up with new strategies to use against DeSantis.

Putting aside for a moment the legitimate question of who will make a better POTUS, DeSantis or Trump, I really hope you DeSantis supporters will think this through.
The idea that Trump is Biden’s preferred opponent. opponent, or that Democrat tactics won’t be effective against DeSantis - that is based on a myth. The myth is that Trump’s personality, his public image, his legal woes, his baggage, his “negatives” - make him an easier target for the Democrats. The myth is that Trump is easier to fear-monger, by saying he will be a Dictator and a threat to Democracy, whereas the public is not predisposed to fear DeSantis as a dictator or tyrant.
Why do I call that a myth? Because it is a myth. Donald Trump was not racist tyrant until he achieved frontrunner status as presumed Republican nominee for 2016.
Donald Trump was called a lot of things - a clown, a joke, a buffoon… he didn’t become an evil monster until he was a real threat to the Democrats.
Mark my word, if DeSantis were to achieve front runner status, and were to stick to his guns as a conservative - the Democrats would do the same to him as they are doing to Trump.
There is only one way for a front-running Republican candidate to to avoid the Left’s relentless character assassination, law-fare and if necessary, actual assassination - and that is to capitulate like a Bush, a Romney or a McCain.
That’s the only way to avoid it - and it is out of respect for DeSantis that I say this: he won’t fold like a Bush, therefore as a front-runner he would be attacked just like Trump is being attacked.
So please, tell your man to stand down and support the actual frontrunner - and stop pretending the Left’s attacks are personal against Trump - they are not.
