Greg Abbott's stunning immigration win: Biden is likely to concede to GOP demands for border crackdown after Texas Gov. bussed 95,000 migrants to 'Sanctuary Cities'

Sanctuary Cities' whose Dem. mayors are now piling pressure on president

Abbott most recently said his initiative has amounted to the transfer of nearly 100,000 migrants to cities such as New York, Boston, Denver, and Chicago

While some liberals and big city mayors have decried Abbott as pulling a political stunt, it appears set to pay off The White House and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is considering rules that would allow faster deportations of illegal migrants

Texas Governor Greg Abbott appears set for a huge victory on the border crisis, as President Joe Biden and Washington Democrats look likely to cave on Republican demands for a crackdown on migrants.

The Republican posted to X on Tuesday, announcing the success of his program to bus illegal migrants to Democrat-led cities.

He said his initiative has amounted to the transfer of nearly 100,000 migrants to cities such as New York, Boston, Denver, and Chicago - where leaders are being forced to find accommodation for them.

Those Democrat-led areas bill themselves as 'sanctuary cities' that welcome migrants.

But the New York Times reported that their mayors are so perturbed by the migrant crisis, they've been pleading with the White House for help - with the president likely to offer Republicans previously-unthinkable concessions on migration laws.

What Republicans appear to be targeting is what's known as a 'credible fear interview.

That is an early hurdle for prospective asylum seekers that, if the likes of Abbott get their way, would have them sent back home much earlier in the migration process, according to the New York Times.

The White House and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is also considering rules that would allow faster deportations of illegal migrants, considered a pipe dream at the beginning of the Biden administration.

I for one won’t consider it a “huge victory” until the daily deportations exceed the illegal inflow by a factor of two.

It’s an election year. It will stop until November. If Bidon or another Democrat wins, it will continue.

Abbott can do this...

But refuses to secure his state’s elections.

Go figure.

It will stop until November.

********

It may slow down some but it won’t stop, imo. The border
is to long for it to be properly enforced on a spur of the
moment process. True with proper attention and efforts it
can be reduced a huge amount.

It’s past time republicans started pushing back like this.

The democrats only succeed because republicans let them.

And the border is closed.

Anyone who wants amnesty can apply the legal way, the way all other legal immigrants do and did.

“abbott on day one should have put the national guard on the border, AND HE DIDNT!”

Well, he did, but not on Day 1.

But then what - how does a GOVERNOR deport people when only the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT can do so?

Too true, I’m afraid.

I have been suspecting for a while now that things are going to improve for a while to make it look like the democrats are actually fixing the problems they created. I expect food and gas prices to go down temporarily.

And yes, if they do win because people are idiots, after Election Day, all heck will break loose.

A crackdown is not enough. It will be a joke of a promise so that Biden can get his war funding.

Closing the border and keeping it closed is something but Biden can’t be trusted.

“President Joe Biden and Washington Democrats look ‘likely to cave’ on Republican demands for a crackdown on migrants.”

Believe it when you see it. These are very hardened players in a game with very high stakes, and even a strategic realignment of their game plan is highly unlikely. They are quite sclerotic when it comes to changing tactics in any way.

Cloward-Piven forever. Even when its weaknesses are revealed.

It will speed up because there is only so much time before Trump likely reoccupies the WH.

It’s election time and the issue is killing Biden. If he is reelected, you can bet whatever action the now lame duck took to mute the invasion during election season will be lifted and it will be worse than ever. The Democrat Party wants to rule in perpetuity and these future votes, even though this cancer will destroy the nation, guarantees them eternal rule until the nation disintegrates under it.

The virtue signaling sanctuary city mayors need to stfu. The illegals are released or are not being deported, so they are free to go anywhere they want. And if they want to go to a sanctuary city, then go there. Go there by the bus loads, the plane loads. Just go!

Yeah, it felt so good for the sanctuary city crowd to point fingers at Texas and shame Texas for being intolerant. Now they go crying to Biden. How ya feelin' now ya intolerant jackasses?
