When the hell was the last time a politician was arrested and convicted for violating the Hatch Act?

It is like the Logan Act in that respect. Nobody is ever convicted of violating it, but it is convenient when they need to slap something quickly on someone they wish to smear without facts.

If you have enough laws on the books (as we do) that are generally not enforced, those laws may be selectively enforced when there is a reason the Left needs to engage in Government Lawfare to attack their political opponents.

I don't believe this would be in that category. I don't know enough about the Hatch Act, but I don't doubt Leftists would violate it with impunity, daring anyone to levy charges against them, and bringing the full weight of the charges down on the accuser.
