I hope the Navy has a plan to conserve its magazines of $1-2 million-dollar interceptor missiles (such as Standard, RAM & ESSM) against cheap Houhti missiles and drones.
This situation seems tailor-made for DEW, if only they had it operational on every combat ship.

Destroying incoming missiles and drones is good, but better to also target and destroy the launch sites. Our satellites should give them exact coordinates. Since this is standard operating procedures in war, why aren’t we doing so???

This entire defensive position with no offensive position is a loser.

Instead of shooting down missiles, how about shooting where they are being launched? What am I missing?

If an Iranian oil installation was wiped out for each drone or missile launched they would end pretty quick but President Retard is too stupid

Centcom said the US destroyers Gravely and Laboon responded to a request for assistance from the Maersk Hangzhou...While responding, missiles were launched toward the ships from territory controlled by the Iran-backed Houthi rebels, Centcom said. Likely the Houthi missiles were fired from vehicle mounted launchers that skedaddled as soon as they fired so they couldn't be targeted. You still have to deal with the missiles headed toward your ship. I think in that case firing a million dollar missile to save a multi-billion dollar ship is a good trade-off.

Under leadership we’d be hitting the launch sites and Iran for every attempted missile strike.
