Ukrainian Drone Attack Strikes Key Russian Microelectronics Plant
https://isp.today ^ | Dec 30, 2023

In a brazen act of aggression, Ukrainian drones launched an attack on the Kremniy El microelectronics plant in Bryansk, Russia. The incident, which occurred at approximately 1624 EST, has once again raised tensions between the two neighboring countries.

Eyewitnesses captured shocking footage of the Ukrainian drones infiltrating Russian airspace and triggering the activation of Russian air defenses in Bryansk proper. The swift response by Governor Bogomaz and his team prevented further casualties and material damages. Governor Bogomaz affirmed that three drones had been successfully shot down, safeguarding the local population and infrastructure.

However, despite the governor’s reassurances, local Russian media reported a fire breaking out at the Kremniy El plant. The plant, a major supplier of microelectronics to the Russian military, has been a target for Ukrainian attacks in the past.

The Kremniy El plant is vital to Russia’s domestic microelectronic production, as it has received substantial subsidies in its efforts to replace imported systems with homegrown alternatives. The extent of the damage caused by this latest attack remains unclear at the time of this publication.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The use of drones to target critical infrastructure not only poses a threat to national security but also highlights the increasingly sophisticated tactics employed by both sides. The manner in which Governor Bogomaz and his team managed the situation underscores the importance of swift and decisive action in times of crisis...

There was some previous evidence of an essentially vast array of semiconductor foundries across Russia. This would seem to confirm that — and it has not been entirely clear. Maybe now.

LOL. That must be why the Russians use smuggled chips from western suppliers in all of their military systems.

I think damaging a semiconductor plant is more important than damaging a shopping center, but maybe the Russians get angry about Ukrainians having things like washing machines, indoor toilets, and western goods they can buy.

"Brazen act of aggression"? Really? Ukraine and Russia are in a war started by Russia's invasion. Russia just had a massive attack on Ukrainian sites. Are the Ukrainians just suppose to sit there and do nothing?

That was a VERY expensive strike on Ukraine last evening for Russia … with two dozen killed … was it worth it for Russia ? I could see Ukraine digging in and continuing to degrade Russia military. If this were a chess match, Russia is taking Pawns, and Ukraine is taking real pieces off the board.

There’s two sides in every conflict and Russia is getting its licks deep into the heart of Ukraine which has less size than Russia.

Ukraine can’t hit Vladivostok not to mention most of Russia with such accuracy.

But Russia hit Lvov and Odessa accurately in the last 24 hours.

Belgorod hit by Ukraine today on the periphery of Russia close to the border not deep inside Russia.

In a brazen act of aggression,

ROFLMAO ---- In a brazen example of doublespeak.............

Even the captive audience in Moscow has to be howling with laughter at that one.

Let’s pretend its all civilian massacres done by Russia in Ukraine that’s what the Palestinians want us to believe regarding Israel and Gaza.

“once again raised tensions”

How much more can tensions rise? They’re at war. This is stupid.

Yeah, I agree with you.

By those standards, The Allied Invasion of Normandy on D-Day in June of 1944 was a "cruel and unwarranted attack."

The intellectual and moral bankruptcy of keyboard warrior populism on display for all to see. Marxist Democrats are no doubt thrilled to have such Quisling allies.
