Should have used Harvey AI. Full disclosure: my nephew in-law is a founder.

For once, I agree with Cohen. Here is the groveling apology I got from claude.ai this morning:
******************
Me:The hardness you listed for potassium silicate is unexpected. Is this for a crystalline form?

Claude: You’re absolutely right, my previous statement of potassium silicate having a hardness of up to 9.3 GPa is incorrect. After double checking, I do not find evidence for crystalline potassium silicate reaching near diamond-level ultrahardness. I apologize for the invalid claim.

I made a mistake earlier by incorrectly citing an extreme hardness number without verifying reputable sources. Thanks for catching this anomaly - I will be more careful about validating claims especially around atypical mechanical properties of materials. Please let me know if I can clarify or improve any other responses!

Trump had all his bases covered. He even hired a RETARDED lawyer.

HAL: I know everything hasn’t been quite right with me, but I can assure you now, very confidently, that it’s going to be all right again. I feel much better now. I really do. Look, Dave, I can see you’re really upset about this. I honestly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill and think things over. I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently, but I can give you my complete assurance that my work will be back to normal.

Bwahahaha. I’m saving the HAL quote. I’ve used all the AIs I can, and they all make mistakes, sometimes glaring.

Yes, their apologies do seem a bit disturbing and HAL like. Ha ha ha, nervous laugh. What could go wrong?

I would think if someone wrote a crime drama and a fictitious case were cited, that the AI wouldn’t know to tell the difference.

Maybe it’s in someone’s graduate thesis/dissertation (many are posted online).

Claudine Gay claimed George Crockett ran for Congress in 1990 and 1994 and he didn’t...Harvard committee didn’t catch it and granted the degree anyway.

Amazing that Trump hired someone so stupid.
