It is most unfortunate that Israel did not make a better (i.e. a more financially generous) effort to voluntarily acquire land circa the late 1940s.
My point is — any attempt to rectify the situation should begin with accepting ONE NON-COMPROMISING FACT -— ISRAEL HAS THE RIGHT TO EXIST IN THE LAND IT NOW OCCUPIES AS AN INDEPENDENT COUNTRY.
Only when this truth is acknowledged can the process of remedying any past injustices proceed peacefully and onjectively.
Absent this one requirement, those Arabs who have been displaced because of the unfortunate circumstances of war cannot be compensated.
The chant of “From the river to the sea” ( which even Americans parrot ) is only making the matter worse.
