When Trump talks about rigging, he’s referring to secret votes in caucuses and open primaries.
The last person to win a fairly contested Iowa Caucus might be Barack Obama. That thing is a disaster. I don’t think the Rats even had a declared winner at all last time
I dont think they’ll do that in Iowa. The ideal situation for Birdbrain is for Desanctimonius to lose in a landslide and drop out before NH. Her strategy may be to help Trumpnin Iowa.

Trump is doing the same. Supporters from anywhere can go to a caucus to persuade people. They just can’t vote if they’re not registered.
This is why I prefer primaries. More people can participate, and emotions aren’t the basis. Democrats would love Election Day to be run as a caucus.

There’s no way to ‘rig’ Iowa caucuses short of brazen altering of vote results. If candidate’s supporters show up, those with the most win. Period.

My suspicion is that the desantis’ wanted to fool supporters into going to iowa from out of state, thinking they could vote in the caucuses.
When they got there, and found out they couldn’t vote though, they would be crazy and loyal enough to try to speak and argue other voting caucus goers to support and vote for desantis.

because the party leadership carefully chose those allowed to vote in them.
Trump went on to win all but one Primary, where the public voted.
He participated in the debates that year. It made no difference at the
Caucuses.
He’s trying to ward that kind of thing off this year. At 60% in the polls, you
don’t debate those at 5%.

Iowa was where the jeff roe played a dirty trick and spread the word that carson had dropped out of the race...
suspicion is that cruz had a relationship of some sort with a cnn person, and surprise, surprise, there was a cnn story that carson may be out.
The cruz campaign then spread the story around, carson had no time to denounce it, and many of those votes went to cruz.
Trump obviously remembers the 2016 Iowa caucus where the Cruz campaign (via the work of scumbag Jeff Roe) spread false rumors about Ben Carson dropping out of the race. Roe is/was involved with a pro-DeSantis PAC, and can always be counted on for some dirty tricks.
I fully expect the party people to do everything within their power to rig the election. There will probably be buses of people from who knows where trying to get in. And even another of Mitt Romney’s tricks, put someone inside the caucus to get control of calling in the numbers. No matter who wins at the caucus, call in numbers showing, Haley/DeSantis/anyone but Trump as the winner. Most of the people at the caucus don’t know to check the right figure is reported. Trump should make certain all his captains know how to verify the right number is reported and do so for each of their caucuses.
And literally it was. Cruzers used phony circulation of propaganda that Carson had dropped out. This hurt Trump.
