Mexico’s president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, hinted to a U.S. delegation that he will reduce migration to the United States if liberal President Joe Biden gives more aid and support to Latin American dictators.
Instead of blocking migration, “it is more efficient and more humane to invest in the development of the people,” Mexico’s president Andrés Manuel López Obrador said before the Wednesday meeting.
“The migration issue is going to intensify” in 2024, he added.

By discussing this red herring we are being distracted from real issues and real solutions, as intended.
Most of these illegal entrants are claiming asylum. This implies they are being mistreated and/or oppressed in their own countries. If they are truly forced to seek asylum, why does the United States allow or even foster those terrible conditions in their countries?
We should not give more money to dictators, but cut off what we are giving them now, for a start. Then, like we are doing with those vile Russian oligarchs, we should freeze assets and stop travel by those dictators and their cronies. All their US assets should be frozen and then seized to aid rebuilding their country.
If conditions in a particular country are bad enough, we should put the dictator and his terrible government officials on notice that if they do not improve within a fixed period of months, we will treat them as terrorists and Predator drones will be used to eliminate them. Then, pick a loudmouth Presidente and do it.
Right now there are no consequences to El Dictators who are creating these terrible conditions in the hemisphere. We need to be like the mother driving down the road with unruly children in the back seat: “Don’t make me stop the car and come back there!” I bet we only have to stop the car once.
The dictators will get the aid - and the U.S. the invaders.
With Biden’s falling poll numbers, he needs as many voters as possible. All will be given a mail-in ballot upon entry.
