Moral responsibility why? What in the world is wrong with fossil fuels? They work beautifully and harm no one and benefit many.

What in the world is wrong with fossil fuels?

What's a 'fossil' fuel, other than a mechanism to suggest people view oil/gas as rare, and maintain prices?

Oil/gas is abiotic. Abundant. Replenishes itself (I hear that depleted gas/oil fields start refilling themselves).
