This serves them right. I was offended by the morons every time they referred to Texas, New Mexico and Arizona as “border towns” and that it was our responsibility to take care of their illegal alien banana boater voters and provide them with an instant “America Dream”.

Leasing a vacant warehouse on the near south side to house criminal illegals in at WELL ABOVE market rates? Done. Providing anything for the illegals other than shelter (absent heat, largely absent water, beds, etc..) NO. They didn't do that.
Leasing property in the Gage Park neighborhood, one of the more violent in Chicago on a former heavy metals processing site and spending $65,000,000 to build tents for illegals? They TRIED doing that, then the IL EPA stepped in and said "No, can't do that, that property has cancer causing agents on it". Nothing to show for it, just $65,000,000 up in smoke. Gone. No one knows where it went, who got paid and zero accountability.
So folks on this thread can prattle on about "cultural enrichment" of areas they don't like, the REALITY IS, this is all one big money grift by EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT POL in EVERY SINGLE DEMOCRAT RUN CITY/STATE that's getting them from Texas.
Summary: You're missing the bigger picture. The criminal illegal aliens are being used as tools to grift taxpayer dollars from to enrich DEMOCRAT POLITICIANS and their favored donor class.
As far as I'm concerned, Governor Abbott should send every criminal illegal that crosses our border directly to Chicago, NYC, Denver, Los Angeles and all top 20 Democrat controlled cities, Apply Alinsky's Rules for Radicals and MAKE THEM LIVE THEIR VALUES! Overwhelm them so hard that it'll be obvious the DEMOCRATS have been grifting using the illegals as tools and then sit back and watch the fun.
