They must be able to catch these folks fairly easily.......if they choose to.

I suspect nothing ever happens.

Burner phones and 911 don’t mix well for the poor sods on the receiving end.

“Don’t police depts have caller ID?”

There are several ways to spoof a number. If you make a call over the internet, you can enter any number you want to display on the receiving phone. I’m sure there are other ways to do it too. As to tracing the call, if the caller uses a virtual private network, they can also display a different IP address. All of this implies a level of sophistication on the part of the perpetrator. Someone who goes to this level is not a prankster. This is attempted murder using the police as the weapon.

Someone on the thread talking about Margery Tailor Green and her family in a similar situation suggested the police could easily find out who did it. Not necessarily so. Also, the local police may not have the equipment of sophistication. They’re police, not cyber security personal.

If anyone should be swatted, it’s Gyorgy Schwartz and his evil family!

If you stop and think about it, this activity is really somewhat Satanic.

Disrupting the Christian holiday, and trying to get their enemies killed as a sort of sacrifice to their Government god.

They use VPNs and other number spoofing. But wanna bet if they mentioned a cocaine shipment, Trump committing a crime, or a plot to assassinate Biden, the NSA couldn’t find the source in a matter of minutes?

This is also why Hillary’s emails are such a scam. The CIA/NSA has every single one and always has.

Tech-savvy swatters can sometimes get around caller ID. Not long ago, a man in California made a swatting call to a police station in Kansas and was able to make it sound like a local call. He was hoping to "swat" someone with whom he had a dispute over an online video game, but instead, an innocent man was killed. More about that here.

For the NSA/CIA there is no such thing as a burner phone.
Unless of course you are swatting a conservative or setting a load of pipe bombs at DNC HQ on January 6. Then they are mystified.

If anyone -actually- believes they cannot trace a call with a VPN or a spoofed IP address. I defy you to get those set systems up and make a call to the DC police department saying “the hit on Biden tomorrow is a go”, “the truck bomb is fully assembled and ready”, or “I have the load of stolen Stinger missiles, do you have the suitcase of cash”.

Go make a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy it before your 20 years in prison. Drink it quickly... they will be rolling right away.

They could solve these swattings if they wanted.

Should be 10 years mandatory sentence. If someone dies, capital offense.

Also someone should watch for who brags about it very quickly on twitter. You know, the old “heard you had visitors this morning” etc.
I bet they have a good idea who is doing it.

Maybe conservatives should set up the burner phone, VPN and spoofed IP and start swatting Leticia James, Jack Smith, Chuck Schumer, Anderson Cooper, Rachel Madcow, Cenk Uygur and other libs.

See how fast they would be at your door. I sure as hell wouldn’t do it. They are making no effort to make arrests as they easily could. This is like the way there is no RICO case against antifa and BLM.
If there were similar conservative groups, there would be mass arrests and civil suits.

Swatting should carry a mandatory Death Penalty and require public execution within 60 days of conviction, regardless of age.

There is no way that the amount of surveillance all of us are under 100% of the time means that the perps in this SWAT frauds can't be id'ed and tossed in prison:

It is not easy, but they can catch them if they want to make the effort. That may require involvement of various three-letter Federal agencies and methods of questionable legality. If the victim is a high-ranking Democrat, they might make the effort. If the victim is an approved target of the régime, they won't.
