A caravan of thousands of migrants traveled through Mexico en route to the US border on Sunday, stopping in the southern Mexican town of Alvaro Obregon to spend Christmas Eve.
The caravan is estimated to comprise some 6,000 people, including families and young children. It is believed to be the largest since June 2022.
The group of migrants mostly hailed from Central American and Caribbean countries. On Sunday, they had walked 15 kilometers (over 9 miles) from Mexico's southern border city of Tapachula. They plan to resume their journey at around 4 a.m. the next day.
The caravan casts doubts on the effectiveness of US President Joe Biden's migration policies.

Obviously.
“The caravan casts doubts on the effectiveness of US President Joe Biden’s migration policies.”
What? His policies are working exactly as intended.

I smell the influence of one Gyorgy Schwartz!
“families and young children”
This is supposed to read a family and their young child.
The rest of them are young men for Obama’s “domestic security force” that’s “just as well funded as the military.”
I wonder what Romans felt as their borders fell and barbarians walked the land as their own while the government could care less let alone do anything about it?
Here Are 8,000 Invaders Preparing Their Caravan to Flood Our Borders on Christmas Day video 3:41
That was a poorly constructed sentence. (must be reading too many articles written by "jornolists")
What I meant was that the leader of the caravan was interviewed in the video not that the migrants were going to interview their leader after crossing the border.
Something tells me their "leader" isn't going to cross with them either.
No big deal.
6,000-8,000 is the invasion numbers for any average day.
Stop em all, all illegals, they aren’t here to pick fruit or build roofs. They’re here for the hand outs and iphones and housing and medical
More booschidt for the Dung Beetles Party’s SOCIALIST “democrazy”. Mexico is the greatest threat to America.
The Mexican Breakfast Tacos should be required to pay the U.S. a babysitting fee for every one of these freeloaders we have to babysit for them. They say they are seeking asylum not the American Dream. It’s not the job of the U.S. taxpayers to pay for them to have a “better life”. Nowhere in the U.S. Constitution or the Bill of Rights does it say that Americans will pay for foreigners and their families to live the Life of Riley in America. American are working for their own families.
This caravan is NOT preparing to cross the border (into USA) on Christmas Day. They are just inside southern mexico after crossing from Guatemala, and are weeks or months away from the U.S. border (unless they get bus transport). The audio on the video provided is a bit unclear but I believe the next stop planned is Oaxaca or some place east of the capital.
This is of course blatantly illegal activity even under laws of mexico, let alone laws of U.S.A., but nobody seems prepared to enforce these laws.
Further to the above, this caravan is just 10 miles inside mexico, west of border crossing (w Guatemala) of Tapachula (mentioned in video at link) ... there is a small town of Alvaro Obregon, and I believe this is the location of caravan, not another Alvaro Obregon which is a suburb of mexico city.
They are not even 1% of the way to the U.S. border, and about 3% of the distance to mexico city (which is roughly one third of the total distance to U.S. border). Unless they get bus transportation, they are going to be walking for at least eight weeks and perhaps closer to twelve. There is a strong communist vibe to the commentary on the video.
there are 19 US consulates and 1 embassy in Mexico in which you can apply for political asylum.
