Apart from the Birth of Christ, this is what Christmas is for me. It is the “Goodwill Towards Men”. The real ability to feel it in my our hearts.
I have been trying to find my way to God, as there are many things in this world that fill me with great anger. I don’t like it. I have always thought I could do anything I put my mind towards, but...I can’t avoid falling right back into that mindset unless I decide to “Go Galt” and...I can’t bring myself to do that.
As a result, I have determined that God is what will bring me mental peace. So I am actively walking that path, and have lots of people helping me.
On a related note, my wife and I decided years ago we were going to forgo the financial and commercial aspect of Christmas.
We have never enjoyed the holiday more.
