Republicans have a 2/3 majority in the legislature in a 50/50 state. LOL.

Skimming the article though, these “islands” are because the municipalities themselves have “islands” - so as the article seems to point out, if the towns are discontinuous and the constitution requires both continuity and following municipal boundaries, which wins? I would argue that a following a discontinuous town line doesn’t render the district discontinuous.
