The leading super PAC supporting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ presidential bid is canceling its television advertisement reservations in Iowa and New Hampshire and shifting its focus to the ground game in the early nominating states.

According to AdImpact data, Never Back Down on Friday cut roughly $2.5 million worth in future ad bookings it had made in the two states and some national media markets – the latest sign of DeSantis’ allies scrambling to gain traction in the final weeks before voting begins in the January 15 Iowa caucuses.

The group’s chairman, Scott Wagner, acknowledged the shift in a statement on Friday, while noting that Fight Right will be running ads instead.

While desantis denies collusion and cooperating and directing what neverbackdown does, it appears that thier complaints about the ads they were running has led to them canceling ads, and shifting money from neverbackdown to the more closely run by cronies super pac fight right.

As said before, desantis has no problem with breaking rules and regulations when it suits him.

DeSantis’ election strategy is tied to the Biden DOJ. If Trump wasn’t being pursued by Biden’s lawfare crooks DeSantis would have dropped out by now.

He’s proven himself a greedy fool and instrument of the GOPe. Very disappointing.

His attacks on President Trump are Romney-esque and puke-inducing.

Honest question. If this man thinks for himself, and I believe at one time he did, does he now? Or does the Uni Party who bought him do the thinking?

This is a man who could have had it all or damn close. Now? He is done. Finished. And he has earned all the ire he gets for selling out American patriots to the enemy Rinos in the GOP. If there is anything conservative or good in him, is it even redeemable?

Sure makes it seem there were backroom assurances the opposition would be taken out of the way, doesn't it?

Sort of like how Jack Ryan's divorce records got unsealed in Illinois and paved the way for Obama.

current odds $1567 to win $1 on DeSantis NOT winning POTUS.

Most call that a sure thing.

The epic fail of this campaign is beyond compare.

My take is that he always surrounded himself with establishment consultants who orchestrated many of his successes in Florida. They always had an eye on 2024 after he was elected governor in 2018, but had initially assumed that Trump would have finished his second term by then so they could easily portray DeSantis as the natural successor to Trump and wouldn’t have to worry about actually running against him. He would be able to praise Trump effusively and may very well have gotten the backing of most Trump supporters.

But when Trump “lost” in 2020, the plan changed. DeSantis and his team didn’t want to wait till 2028 and thought Ron’s brand was so strong that they could go against Trump and win. That was a particularly foolish decision because it ignored the fact that Ron’s brand was based on his alliance with Trump and the MAGA movement. Not adjusting their plans meant that DeSantis would be running against the man whose coattails he had ridden. The plan of portraying him as Trump’s successor simply doesn’t work when the man himself hasn’t retired and is himself, still running. But greed and ego got in the way and convinced them otherwise. That only happens when there was never a genuine commitment to the MAGA cause. MAGA turned out to be expendable to DeSantis and his team. Embracing it was always just a means to an end.
